After my big score, Blaz was still alive in the Turbo Knockout. I needed a beer (or two) to calm my emotions, so grabbed a rack of chips and headed for the 2-4 LHE table figuring I’d donk off $20 playing poker to get a few brewskis. Man was I wrong. Granted this was the biggest LHE game going at 2 am on Sunday morning, but these people were awful. Seats 1, 2, and 3 were geriatrics. I sat in the 4 hole. Seat 5 was an attractive young college girl. Seat 6 was a middle-aged lady who was sitting…

Back over to Harrah’s and we buy-in to the $80 Saturday night NLHE tournament. We have about an hour to kill before the tourney starts, so I ask the floor for the biggest LHE table he’s got. It’s 4-8 with mini-blinds. Let me just pause for a moment to say how awesome this is. It’s a regular 4-8 game but the blinds are 1-2. A great game to see cheap flops and encourage the fish to stick around when they flop bottom pair. Blaz and I make our way to the back of the poker room where there are two…

Rising at the early hour of 1:30 pm, Blaz bestowed upon me the coveted PokerSoup.tv ball cap. Showered and now properly dressed, we headed off to Harrah’s to take advantage of the half price buffet. Kind of odd eating breakfast at 2:30, especially since there was no breakfast food available, but we made do. The usual fare… crab legs, shrimp, sushi, sirloin… all the basic proteins (carbo –loading is for real athletes, we’re poker players!).

Atlantic City was the site of June 2009 PokerSoup.tv meet-up. Blazman came down from Connecticut, ElSnarfGrande made the relatively short drive from his home in Jersey, and I hitched a ride with two of my neighbors from D.C. Not quite making the early departure from work I had planned on, I was stuck in D.C. and Baltimore Friday afternoon rush hour which meant I arrived at Harrah’s promptly at 8:15, hit the late registration for the $105+$20 NLHE tournament, and took my seat – on Blaz’s immediate left – Excellent! Snarf, meanwhile, decked out in his classiest Phillies jersey, had…

I have been listening to MP3s of Tommy Angelo’s “The Eightfold Path to Poker Enlightenment”. So far, they have posted 4 of the 8 episodes to date. It is really the most fascinating thing I’ve listened too.

It has been a while since I talked about the 100,000 hands I was going to play at the 10NL level. As a whole the level is incredibly soft. I did go on a big downswing because I played stupid but was able to recovered.I have played almost 17,000 hands and have a profit if $213. The kicker is this… at 4800 hands I was up $185 at 12,000 hands I was up a total of $66, than I rebounded.
So what happened…

[Updated with card deck backs and two new backgrounds]
After signing up for DeucesCracked I realized that we can customize the PokerStars (and other poker client’s) theme. So with a little nudge from loser64 I went ahead and created a custom PokerStars theme with a PokerSoup twist.
